In real life there are some variations in rodent teeth but they all lack canines and premolars and have a space between their incisors and molars that is called the diastema region. In this case however, Cait’s mysterious awakening as some kind of human-mouse hybrid would no doubt throw a lot of what we know about real-life stuff out of the window. It would be safe to assume that more of her human traits other than the general humanoid mentality, size and form might manifest through all the mouse traits, such as the presence of canine teeth as the artist has chosen to show. It could be a mistake but given they went through to effort to draw her skeleton I imagine they thought this out and that it was an intentional detail. Perhaps we should entertain the possibility she might also have other animal traits involved in her revival as a new kind of biological being that aren’t yet obvious. I do like the idea of it just simply being perfectly balanced “human-mouse”ness instead though. Food for thought. 🙂
Indeed. It will be interesting to see what rises instinctively in her case; no doubt something unique, in addition to her obvious intelligence. (And to be quite honest… a certain cuteness :} )
yay.!! no surprises…
Just came over from the drugsandwires webcomic through an embedded ad for worldofruan. Read it all real quick, I am eager to see more!
She’ll probably dream… but this is a good moment. I like it.
Hum… Cait has canine teeth, as if a carnivore, instead of rodent-like teeth? Interesting.
Depending on the specific type of rodent, some are vegetarian, some are predatory and some are omnivores.
